  Magneto reception refers to an animal navigation system. In the lecture, the professor provides an example to illustrate this concept. He mainly talks about a specific kind of rats. Those rats are basically blind and live in tunnels which are completely dark out there. Acually they don’t have any marks or signs in the tunnels for guildance, because it is impossible for them to see them. However, they have this very special navigation system called magneto reception inside ther bodies. With this system, they are able to find the way back homes in the dark tunnels, for this system can enable them to take advange of the magnetic field to seek the routes back homes.
